Hello,
My name is Rob Bagg and if your reading this, you probably know I play for the Queen's Golden Gaels football team. A few of us players have been asked to write a short blog once a week or so to keep our fans and alumni up to date on the happenings around training camp and into the season. This is the first blog I have ever written so if you have any suggestions or feedback please feel free to let me know.
Anyways, as many of you know our team has now officially reached the half way mark of training camp. So far, we have done six 2-a-days and one exhibition game. While the competition has been quite high for the remaining dress spots there contuinues to be great battles as rookies try to beat out vets and vets try to improve their status as leaders and big time players. After beating McGill the team feels pretty good about the squad this year, however we also understand how much improvement needs to be made if we are going to reach the Yates Cup this season. As a senior and in my final year of eligabilty I can honestly say our team has not looked better, and more able to do this in any of my others years with the school (including the denison years). Many of the players, including myself are pretty amped up about the upcoming Western game. It is always a great rivalry and the offence is gonna need to play much better than we did against McGill if we want to score the same amount of points.
Well thats about it for now, please let me know what you think and feel free to reply anytime.
Rob Bagg
